1. Use of the Service

1.1. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Kinnect. By using our service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

1.2. Account Registration: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

1.3. Prohibited Activities: You agree not to engage in any unlawful, abusive, or harmful activities when using Kinnect. This includes but is not limited to:

a. Violating any applicable laws or regulations.

b. Impersonating another person or entity.

c. Interfering with the proper functioning of Kinnect.

d. Collecting or harvesting user data without consent.

2. User Generated Content

​

2.1. Ownership: You retain ownership of any content you post on Kinnect. By posting content, you grant Kinnect a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content.

2.2. Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you post on Kinnect. You agree not to post any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes upon the rights of others.

 

2.3 Reporting Harmful Content: Users have the ability to report harmful content for the following reasons: spam, scam or untrue information, inappropriate activity, just not for me, and hate speech or symbols. When content is reported, it will be immediately removed from Kinnect and put under review.

 

2.4 Review Process: Once content is reported, Kinnect will review the content within 24 hours. During the review, the content will be evaluated to determine if it violates our terms of service. Based on the review, the content will either be permanently removed or reinstated on the app. If the content is found to be in violation, further actions may be taken against the content creator, which can include account suspension or termination.

 

2.5 Consequences of Posting Harmful Content: Kinnect reserves the right to take appropriate action against users who post harmful content. This can include warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal of the user's account, depending on the severity of the violation.

 

3. Intellectual Property

3.1. Trademarks and Copyrights: All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on Kinnect are the property of Kinnect or their respective owners. You agree not to use or reproduce any of these without prior written permission.

 

3.2. Copyright Infringement: Kinnect respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please contact us at hugo@kinnect.io.

4. Limitation of Liability

 

4.1. Disclaimer: Kinnect provides the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the service.

4.2. Limitation of Liability: Kinnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

5. Governing Laws and Dispute Resolution

 

5.1. Governing Law: These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

5.2. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

6. Opt-In to One-Time Password (OTP) Authentication

 

6.1. Consent to Receive OTPs: By registering for an account and using Kinnect, you consent to receive one-time password (OTP) messages from our authentication provider, Twilio, for the purpose of verifying your identity during the login process.

 

6.2. Message Frequency: You will receive OTP messages as needed for authentication purposes. These messages will be sent to the phone number you provide during registration.

 

6.3. Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply to OTP messages. Please check with your mobile carrier for details.

 

6.4. Opting Out: If you no longer wish to receive OTP messages for authentication, you must deactivate your account.

7. Changes to Terms of Use

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms of Use on Kinnect.
