Why we exists.

Creating the social life you want is hard. People are faced with increasingly busy schedules, remote working conditions and a growing number of distractions (many technological) vying for our attention, the list goes on. We exist to give you the tools you need to create the social life you want, thereby reducing loneliness globally.​

The average time spent alone was 142.5 hours a month in 2003 and increased to 166.5 hours a month in 2020.

The average time spent engaging with friends was 60 minutes a day in 2003 and decreased to 20 minutes a day in 2020.

Single-person households accounted for 12% of all UK households in 1961. It more than doubled to 29% of all households in 2022, according to the ONS.

Less than 20% of individuals who often or always feel lonely recognise it as a major problem.

We envision a world where people thrive, together. We want to become the go-to place for people to strengthen their relationships and make new ones, no matter the occasion.

We believe that technology can be a positive force in the world and on our social lives.

What is loneliness?

Loneliness is ‘a subjective, unwelcome feeling of lack or loss of companionship. It happens when there is a mismatch between the quantity and quality of the social relationships that we have, and those that we want,’ according to the UK Governments Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport.
